A Romantic Caribbean Honeymoon

The Caribbean is one of the most romantic and exciting places for your honeymoon. White sandy beaches, five star resorts, and incredible service are what awaits newly weds to the Caribbean. But with so many islands to choose from, deciding which one to visit can be a challenge. In this article I will outline my picks for the top 3 islands to visit on a Caribbean honeymoon.
Turks and Caicos Islands
This British Territory is synonymous with beauty and is one of the best places for a Caribbean honeymoon. One of the most unique and awe inspiring attractions in the Turks and Caicos is it’s amazing coral reef which is one of the longest in the world. There are an assortment of all inclusive resorts to choose from when visiting here, all of which will fit perfectly for a newly wed couple. One popular activity for travelers here is to swim with dolphins in the Blue Lagoon. What better way to enjoy your honeymoon than swimming with the extremely intelligent and friendly bottle-nose dolphin? It’s easy to see why so many people enjoy visiting this impressive set of islands.
Bahamas
The Bahamas are one of the most traditional and popular destinations for a Caribbean honeymoon and for good reason. Because of it’s proximity to the United States and it’s incredibly beautiful landscape, the Bahamas are the perfect getaway for newly weds. You’ll be sure to enjoy the white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and impeccable service that awaits vacationers here. The Bahamas offers up a unique and romantic honeymoon, from the five star service of the Ocean club to the affordable but equally impressive Sandals Royal Bahamian.

Jamaica
Jamaica has always been a popular location for honeymooners and it just keeps getting better with the countries efforts to grow its tourist industry. From the challenging golf courts to traveling down a river on a bamboo raft, Jamaica offers an assortment of activities for couples. Other activities include canopy tours of the forest, a 2 hour zip-line ride, or swimming in the waters fed by the Ys waterfall. Or for a taste of the incredible culture that makes Jamaica what it is, visit the Bob Marley museum. The museum is actually the house that this famous musician once lived in and tours here will allow you to see his personal office, along with many other significant things that played a part in inspiring his music. Both affordable and gorgeous, Jamaica is easily one of the most romantic places you can visit on your Caribbean honeymoon.

I need to know a great place to stay for our honeymoon. Is st croix nice? It has the best prices. What are reasonably priced but still nice places to stay in the Keys, US Virgin Islands, Hawaii or even Puerto Rico? We want to relax, maybe shop & site see a little, snorkel & definitely swim alot! Any information will help Thanks!
Grand Cayman has spellbinding views. And the most beautiful beaches to boot.

I will be leaving on Sept. 14 or 15 from Louisville, KY. I want to take a two week, international vacation for less than $5,000 including air, accommodations and most of the rest. I don’t want to go to the Caribbean or Mexico–spending 2 weeks on the beach sounds far too boring. Western Europe is out as well, I’ve traveled most of Western Europe before and my fiance wants to go somewhere that is new to both of us. I want adventure travel, not deluxe travel. Anything is an option–Peru, Thailand, Morocco, Croatia, etc. Where should I go? Any links to particular trip options or vacation packages will be greatly appreciated.
Repeat: Western Europe is not being considered.
South Africa is amazing!!!! Especially along the Cape (Western Cape/ Garden Route)! Not only is it gorgeous, but there is so much too do! Especially if you’re into adventure! The highest bungy jump is there, cage diving with sharks, etc. Not sure of packages from the US, but it should be cheap, as the South African Rand is not very strong!!! Good luck!!!!! Enjoy!

I want to have a more intimate wedding, like just my fiance and I, and possibly our best man/ maid of honor. I was looking at this website :
http://www.weddingsinthebahamas.com/packages.html
the Bird of Paradise Package
along with some add ons like:
-a small cake for 2-4.
-a canopy arch.
-have a unity sand ceremony.
On a beach.
for the dinner afterward (mini reception)
just a nice, Bahamian like restaurant.
My budget is no more than $5000-$6000
including my dress, his outfit…
the wedding packages, my hair and makeup.
the air fare for our friends (maybe) – this depends on how much it will cost if its just the bride and groom.
air fare for us, and rooms.
i was thinking just for this night, cause the package is located in Nassau, and our honeymoon location is on the Grand Bahama Island.
the hotel I had in mind just for a couple nights was:
Nassau Palm Hotel
cause it isn’t to expensive, and has jacuzzi/whirlpool in the room.
should I do this, or do you have any other suggestions to save me money?
Nassau Palm Hotel is a roach/drug infested spring break motel that should have been burned to the ground years ago. It is no place to spend a honeymoon. Jacuzzi is the same as you have in your bathroom at home..
PLEASE do some research before ruining your wedding.
BTW.. traveling from Grand Bahama to Nassau is not easy. they are 100 miles apart.
Find a deal on GBI.. I’m sure the hotels all have wedding packages.

hiya probably alot better answers above but ill give it a crack . cattermaran cruise is cool swim with the fish and the turtles its beautiful pretty amazing , scoober diving is good but snorkelling can be just as good , jet ski’s all sorts of water sports .
west coast seas are very calm and that is the prodominantly wealthy part of the island , id suggest hireing a car probably be cheaper in the end and u get a little more freedom to roam to places further a field from the tourists . the east coast has some amazing beaches that go for miles which you will probably be the only people on , theres a place called harris smith house its derelict but theres steps down to this amazing beach in a cove . the drive ins a pretty cool experience if youve never been to one before , fish cakes rum and coke and theres loads more . have a good time .
