The Virgin Islands Top Resort for Honeymoons has to be Peter Island.
Any visitor here would describe Peter Island as one of the very top Caribbean beautiful small island vacations, with just cause too!!
To be on your honeymoon on Peter Island, is just a dream come true, because as well as being a top Caribbean resort, it is probably the most romantic hotel in the Caribbean.
Honeymoons should always be romantic, and whilst it has to be said that what Peter Island is not, is that it could never be described as one of the most romantic affordable honeymoon ideas, because it is definitely not cheap, however it is one of the two most romantic vacations spots for me.
The first being when my husband proposed to me!! ………………
Enough of that, now what about Peter Island as the most romantic hotel in the Caribbean?
This was our first trip to the Caribbean, although we are very familiar with top class resorts, beautiful white sand beaches, and delicious food, but we were not prepared for some of the most beautiful beaches on Peter Island. It really is a top resort in every sense of the word. The sea is so clean and clear, and if you enjoy snorkelling, which we do, then the beaches we tried snorkelling from were excellent. There were plenty of opportunities to indulge on the water as well with hobie cats, sunfish, windsurfing, sailing, sea kayaking.
The best thing about the beaches apart from the sand and the sea was the fact that there were never many people there. We mostly went to Deadman’s Beach which runs from close to our room, past the beach restaurant
The island itself is a tropical paradise, palm trees, lush green vegetation, and VERY private. No streets, no taxis, no shops, no cruise ships, airports, time share salesmen, not even houses. This is a privately owned island, and it will stay that way – pristine, unspoiled paradise, and very very private.
The accommodation is probably understated, but we were lucky indeed to get an upgrade to a beachfront junior suite.
It was quite amazing, beautifully furnished, a huge bathroom with a double Jacuzzi, and shower. The view from this 1st floor suite was unforgettable, and incredibly you could walk out straight onto the beach without using the stairs or the front door.
I did like all the extras in the suite, the robes, flip flops etc, but the best thing to me was the fact that the radio in the room took CD’s and I always take some away with me, so we could listen to our favourites when we were dressing or just relaxing.
Finally the fridge in the suite was well stocked, and the prices remarkably cheap.
I come now to the food, and with it the service, and this is really where Peter Island has rightly established itself as the Virgin Islands top honeymoon resort, because if ever a girl wants to be pampered it is on her honeymoon!!
Well the food at Peter Island is extremely good, and loving my food as I do, this was a foodie paradise. Breakfast, lunches down on the beach, dinners were all delicious, and I can’t remember a bad meal.
The service was mostly superb, the staff went the extra mile many times for us, and were very good at remembering our names, and supplying us with things like snacks when we wanted them even if we had only casually mentioned the subject.
The total highlight for me was the spa. My husband and I both had massages for the first time, and we loved the pool at the spa with the best views.
Peter Island certainly lived up to its reputation as top Caribbean small island vacation, and will always be on my list of most romantic getaways, but as it is not cheap, whilst most romantic it was not my most affordable honeymoon idea – but who cares – I loved it!!

Many dream of a perfect wedding; exchanging vows at the beach, drinking champagne at an exotic place, and enjoying the special moment with family and love ones. So after the ceremony comes the best part: the honeymoon. Well, it is not a personal statement. If you ask most couples what type of honeymoon is the best, many would answer, “cruise honeymoon”.
And why not?
Imagine you and your wife travel anywhere in the world and enjoying the calmness of the sea and enjoying each other’s company together with nature at its best. Imagine you have all the time in the world, sleeping at any hour of the day, watching the stars in the sky and relaxing in a luxurious ship that seems to be designed for both of you. Imagine you get all the luxury in the world while witnessing the beauty of it all at the same time and at the same place.
Yes, all these you can get if you take the honeymoon cruise.
If you can imagine it, then you can get the real sense of it. Booking for a honeymoon cruise is easier and much cheaper nowadays. Many ships have given special attention to newlyweds to enjoy their first days of married life. This result to honeymoon cruise packages. These packages include everything you need; dinner for two, luxurious suite, champagne, and other on-board amenities you need to fully enjoy your honeymoon.

Cruise ships are much easier to locate. With the help of the internet, you can locate cruise liners that offer honeymoon cruise. Here are some cruise lines that offer honeymoon cruises and honeymoon packages: Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity, Crystal Cruises, Costa Cruise Line, Cunard Line, Holland America, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian, Orient, Royal Caribbean, Radisson, SeaBourn, Windstar and SilverSea. All these provide the best honeymoon experience you expect.
If in case you want to get married on board, there are several honeymoon cruises that offer this service. Some of these are Disney Cruise, Princess Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean.
And if you think of destinations, honeymoon cruises offer a worldwide vacations that suite your desire. You can have tropical cruise, Caribbean cruise, European cruise, Hawaii cruise, and more.

For an all inclusive perfect romantic honeymoon destination. Check out Couples Negril in Jamaica
Boasting itself as the top all inclusive resort in Jamaica, and even the Caribbean, Couples Negril has a lot to live up to, and to be absolutely fair having set itself such exacting standards it works very hard to maintain them.
The top class feeling will start at the airport where you will me met with drinks, and taken the hour’s journey to the resort. Check in formalities are accompanied by champagne, and pass quickly, and very quickly you realise that Couples Negril has a special atmosphere excellent and very willing staff, and any doubts you may have had from press you have read will quickly disappear. You will find the staff from reception to the people working in the grounds always smiling and helpful. It is the small touches that make a honeymoon special such as the barman always remembering what drink you like depending even on the time of day.
The rooms are a slight disappointment in that the Deluxe Garden Room is a little small and basic, the bathroom slightly in need of a revamp, but all clean and the bed is comfy, which is very important for a romantic honeymoon destination!!
An outstanding feature of Couples Negril is the food which is absolutely delicious. A great thing is that if you don’t like something on the menu there are plenty of choices, and if you like desserts, then you will be in seventh heaven.
Another thing that is great is the fact that Couples Negril never seemed too crowded, so there were always sun beds available, or difficulty getting reservations in the gourmet restaurant or never having to wait to be served in any of the other restaurants.
Some all inclusive resorts in Jamaica and all over the Caribbean place a great limit on what spirits you can have, or wine by the glass, but not here in Couples Negril
You will unwind the second you arrive, because the overall ambience, and the sheer beauty of the place is quite overwhelming.
Couples Negril is a very good place to choose as a romantic wedding destination. Many people choose to get married here and then it is the perfect spot for the perfect romantic honeymoon destination. If you can afford it, book one of the honeymoon suites, which are about twice the size of a normal room, with a fully stocked bar, that most rooms don’t have. This is the place to have the time of your life doing things you would never normally do. If you’ve never tried parasailing, jet skiing are just two exciting activities. If you can drag yourself away from the resort then take the tour of Jamaica.
On the other hand, you could just take advantage of the luxury and comfort and simply do nothing at all, but relax, after all it is your all inclusive romantic honeymoon destination. You chose Couples Negril so just enjoy the time together in Jamaica. It isn’t cheap, but it is worth it, and you’ll never forget your Jamaica honeymoon as long as you live

With the average cost of a wedding in England estimated between 15K and 25K more people are fleeing these spiralling costs, opting for weddings abroad. It is no longer an elopement to Gretna Green as resort holiday packages are now big business, the more exotic the better. This article is a great companion when grovelling to the in-laws as it compares weddings abroad with the British wedding industry examining what you can get for your money.
In the tightening financial climate, many people are eager to hold onto their savings as opposed to splashing out on extravagant parties so 250 people can have a free lunch. In my expert opinion, the absolute minimum you can spend on a British church wedding with all the trimmings and that is being extremely prudent with your budget, it is a clear fact that money goes further with weddings abroad.
Based on this model the main costs of a British wedding are the reception, the honeymoon and the dress which account for around 4500GBP, just over 40 percent of the total cost. That is allowing 2000GBP for the reception, 1500GBP for the honeymoon and 1000GBP for the dress. As any woman who has flitted through wedding catalogues will tell you, none of those allowances go very far.
Other costs include rings, other wedding attire like bridesmaid’s dresses, the church, reception venues, photographers and so on. All the 200 pounds here and there add up to a tidy sum and unless you want to cut serious corners with your special day, the absolute minimum cost I estimate is 11K. There other options that an increasing numbers of Brits are opting for, weddings in paradise.
Destinations that accommodate weddings abroad range in cost however, the island of Barbados is a good example of affordable luxury hotels and island paradise. Your timing is imperative in planning weddings abroad, as peak times can be very expensive however into the end of the UK wedding season you can pick up competitive deals on flights and hotel suites.
You may wish to invest the weddings abroad budget money in different places based on your and your guests’ circumstances. With a return ticket costing around 620GBP in September the people who you really want there will have to be able to fund themselves or you will have to budget in their flights. This is applicable to accommodation as well, which drops dramatically in price off-season.
The general cost of weddings abroad is quite frustrating when comparing to Britain. For 990 US dollars, about 520GBP, you can enjoy the ceremony, a la carte breakfasts, lunch and dinner, basically everything you need on the day with all the luxury trimmings. Additional costs are the suite hire which depends on your preference however there is a broad price range and extremely competitive rates off-season.
Other weddings abroad packages include offers like hotel hire. For around 4000GBP you can hire an entire luxury hotel which sleeps about 70 including the ceremony. For just under 20,000GBP you can hire the hotel with all the accommodation for five nights and 25K buys you an entire week. Combine that with the 43, 400GBP cost of 70 return tickets allows you 70 guests in a luxury hotel in paradise for one week for a modest 70,000GBP.
Although this is out of most peoples budgets your 11,000GBP can go a long way in accommodation and airfares for essential guests. You have to ask yourself what is more important, having the number of guests or the memorable nature of the ceremony. Weddings abroad are increasingly popular because they are truly special events at an affordable cost.

Next time you are planning a truly relaxing vacation trip, you should put some serious consideration into the Bahamas. The capital city is Nassau, which is located on the island New Providence, though Andros Island is the largest in the group. The Bahamas main industry is tourism, with the island being a massive tourist spot for most western countries. The 700 Islands of the Bahamas form a 500 mile archipelago, and every one of them is a reason to take the family to this island paradise.
The Bahamas are only a short distance from South Florida, and offer many affordable opportunities for an island adventure. There were Eleutheran Adventurers, persecuted by their local church and they gave Eleuthera island its name. The largest island is Andros Island.
It’s believed that Christopher Columbus first landed on the island of San Salvador in the southeastern Bahamas and exchanged gifts with the Amerindians, (Taino, also known as Lucayan).
For vacationers, the Bahamas offers crystal clear turquoise waters, endless white sand beaches, perfect temperate weather — a vacation in the Bahamas is heavenly. So whether you’re making an investment or buying a vacation home, the Bahamas will welcome you with open arms. Because of its colonial heritage, you will find that the official language of the islands is still English and because it is widely spoken throughout the islands still it has been a key factor in helping the country to flourish and so become a favorite with the many people who travel to it.
If you prefer a vacation that is offering comfort then it is suggested that you take your vacation on one of the bigger islands in the Bahamas and if you want something with a bit more adventure then try one of the smaller ones.
If you are going on a trip to the Bahamas, then you will obviously need and want to know where the best places are for you to stay; one of the best places without a doubt is the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas. The Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas is located on Paradise Island, near Nassau in the formerly British Bahamas and just a hop from Florida. Located on New Providence Island, the word “resort” barely does it justice; Atlantis is a combination of amusement park, water park, casino, spa, beach all rolled into one sparkling and gigantic package.
In 1940, clairvoyant (a person with abnormal power of seeing in the mind what is happening or what exists a distance) Edgar Cayce predicted that the lost continent of Atlantis would start to rise again in the vicinity of The Bahamas in 1968 or 1969.
Despite the fact that water-related activities are the most apparent enticements, these tranquil and welcoming islands also offer an assortment of rainy-day options, above all in Nassau and on neighboring Paradise Island. The Bahamian Islands cover 100,000-square-miles of tropical paradise that comprises over 650 islands and 2400 cays and located a mere 50 miles off the Florida coast. The endless stretch of spectacular sand and sea, the Bahamas is a beach lover’s paradise that should not be missed.
You can meet up with dolphins in shallow waters on the Blue Lagoon Island, just 20 minutes from Paradise Island, Nassau. It’s impossible to get past that first impression of Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas and you’ll be reminded of it everywhere you go in the resort.
These shark dives are available in both Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas. The warm sunshine, attractive beaches and laid-back lifestyle attract large numbers of tourists to Nassau and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. There is very little industry apart from an oil refinery at Freeport and a rum distillery on New Providence.
One is at the Port Lucaya area located on the south shore of island and the other is near downtown Freeport which is more inland. I have traveled to Freeport twice and stayed in the Port Lucaya area both times.
Every travel agency has its own selection of Bahamas honeymoon packages, so it is worthwhile to shop around and find the one that reaches your highest expectations. A passport and visa may be required, so verify with your travel agent exactly what paperwork you should bring to stay out of trouble. If you don’t already have one, note that it can take 6-8 weeks or more these days to get a passport. While the beaches of the Bahamas are the premier tourist attraction, there are many more things to do if you travel inland.
The Bahamas is also a popular stop on many cruise ships, that spend anywhere from 1 day to 3 days in port so their cruise ship passengers can experience the Bahamas.
Consider a Bhamas vacation for one of the most relaxing vacations you have ever taken in a location that is just south of paradise.
