My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon. We want a beautiful, quaint getaway with beautiful beaches. We mainly want to relax, but we do want to do various activities such as shop, snorkel, horseback ride, etc. Price is a big issue. We also want a location that is rich in culture and history and that has a decent nightlife as we are both 21. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated!
Puerto Rico
We want to go somewhere tropical but now that we are looking, everywhere is soooooo expensive! Does anyone know of a good place to look for good deals? We’d be going in the beginning of May and staying for about 5 or 6 nights. Anywhere tropical – the Caribbean, Hawaii, Barbados, anywhere…
I’m going to Bermuda !!!
beautiful place with pink sand! lol
My husband and I are trying to find a great honeymoon spot that won’t break the bank. We’d really like a nice beach scene, whether in the states or Caribbean. We saw a resort called Sandals, but the cost is too high and with the reviews I’ve read spending that much money isn’t something I want to risk with the possibility of a bad honeymoon. I saw another place called the breezes that has several places. For 4 days and 3 nights it would cost us $2000 and seems like an ok place. Anyone been to those places and could tell me about them? What building you stayed in, what did you have to pay for, etc. Can anyone recommend a place for about $2000, airfare included, and a mostly inclusive resort? Is there any place that’s really nice in the states with the kind of scene the Caribbean can offer?
I would be flying from Houston, Texas.
You can get a great cruise for that money and you do not have to pay for anything that you do not need to. You did not say where you were coming from.

If you really need a good place you can come to Barbados. It is a popular destination for honeymoons. There is a nice resort that is very intimate that you can stay at.

My fiance and I are getting married in October and looking for a place to honeymoon that’s not gonna cost a fortune. We can’t ask either of our families because they’re already helping out with the wedding.
We’re wanting to go to a beach such as Hawaii, Caribbean, Virgin Islands, Florida & Florida Keys or Hilton Head Island. Everything is so expensive. We’re looking around the $900-$1000 range. Any suggestions, ideas or advice?
Go on a Cruise, In October you can find great deals because is off season. Everything is included and you can find deals for 4 days Caribean or Mexico Cruises for about $350 per person. If you live close to a Port of Departure you can definetly do this on your budget.

What part of the country are you in?
PS/ Forget Hawaii. One plane ticket will cost you $1000

I will be marrying in June of 2010. I would like to honeymoon somewhere beachy, the caribbean for example. Does anyone have any suggestions for islands/resorts they’ve had a good experience at? I’d like to avoid anywhere excessively touristy (I don’t want to stay where the cruise ships dock). I’m a student, so it can’t be anywhere too expensive. Thanks for helping me narrow down my choices!
Try St Kitts or St Lucia. Both are beautiful islands very tropical and lush and not over run with tourists and people are friendly. St Kitts is very small but the neighboring island of Nevis is very easy to get to. St. Lucia is pretty big and does get cruise ships a few days a week but depending on where you are you may not even notice it. Its the type of island that if you want isolation you can find it.
