Caribbean Honeymoon Packages
The idea of jetting off to the Caribbean for your honeymoon must be one of the most romantic ways to celebrate your newlywed status. All those lovely beaches, that fabulous cuisine, the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly locals are just the ticket for the perfect start to your married life. But which one of the hundreds of different islands should you go for?
The Bahamas are possibly the first destination you might think of when you`re considering your honeymoon. The beautiful scenery here, along with miles of gleaming white beaches and sparkling sea are a magnet for those looking for the ideal destination to relax and indulge. There are a number of top class golf courses and seemingly limitless opportunities for divers to explore the amazing marine life.
Or how about the lively destination of Jamaica? There`s plenty to do here, including a challenging climb up the Blue Mountain Peak and a fantastic array of wildlife and exotic flowering plants to see. Montego Bay is the centre for water sports such as diving, jet skiing and sailing. For a slightly more sedate encounter with the ocean, take a guided tour in one of the glass-bottomed boats.
With tourism forming around half its economy, you can be sure that Barbados takes honeymooners seriously. It`s great for duty free shopping and there are magnificent beaches and dramatic cliffs. The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is well worth a visit, especially when it`s feeding time for the troops of Barbados Green Monkeys.
The quaint artist`s colony of Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic would be the ideal place for romantic honeymooners. The wildlife is hugely diverse and there are many national parks and reserves to visit. Opportunities for water sports are plentiful and you won`t want to miss the dolphin lagoon and interactive shark pool at the Ocean World Adventure Park in Cofresi.
St Lucia is one of the Caribbean`s most romantic destinations, symbolised by the Pitons, a pair of spires formed from volcanic rock, rising up out of the sea. The busy capital Castries is good for shopping and people watching and there are some great beach resorts along the west coast.
With so much choice, the Caribbean is the perfect destination for holidays for newly-weds.

A Romantic Caribbean Honeymoon

The Caribbean is one of the most romantic and exciting places for your honeymoon. White sandy beaches, five star resorts, and incredible service are what awaits newly weds to the Caribbean. But with so many islands to choose from, deciding which one to visit can be a challenge. In this article I will outline my picks for the top 3 islands to visit on a Caribbean honeymoon.
Turks and Caicos Islands
This British Territory is synonymous with beauty and is one of the best places for a Caribbean honeymoon. One of the most unique and awe inspiring attractions in the Turks and Caicos is it’s amazing coral reef which is one of the longest in the world. There are an assortment of all inclusive resorts to choose from when visiting here, all of which will fit perfectly for a newly wed couple. One popular activity for travelers here is to swim with dolphins in the Blue Lagoon. What better way to enjoy your honeymoon than swimming with the extremely intelligent and friendly bottle-nose dolphin? It’s easy to see why so many people enjoy visiting this impressive set of islands.
Bahamas
The Bahamas are one of the most traditional and popular destinations for a Caribbean honeymoon and for good reason. Because of it’s proximity to the United States and it’s incredibly beautiful landscape, the Bahamas are the perfect getaway for newly weds. You’ll be sure to enjoy the white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and impeccable service that awaits vacationers here. The Bahamas offers up a unique and romantic honeymoon, from the five star service of the Ocean club to the affordable but equally impressive Sandals Royal Bahamian.

Jamaica
Jamaica has always been a popular location for honeymooners and it just keeps getting better with the countries efforts to grow its tourist industry. From the challenging golf courts to traveling down a river on a bamboo raft, Jamaica offers an assortment of activities for couples. Other activities include canopy tours of the forest, a 2 hour zip-line ride, or swimming in the waters fed by the Ys waterfall. Or for a taste of the incredible culture that makes Jamaica what it is, visit the Bob Marley museum. The museum is actually the house that this famous musician once lived in and tours here will allow you to see his personal office, along with many other significant things that played a part in inspiring his music. Both affordable and gorgeous, Jamaica is easily one of the most romantic places you can visit on your Caribbean honeymoon.

My husband and I are trying to find a great honeymoon spot that won’t break the bank. We’d really like a nice beach scene, whether in the states or Caribbean. We saw a resort called Sandals, but the cost is too high and with the reviews I’ve read spending that much money isn’t something I want to risk with the possibility of a bad honeymoon. I saw another place called the breezes that has several places. For 4 days and 3 nights it would cost us $2000 and seems like an ok place. Anyone been to those places and could tell me about them? What building you stayed in, what did you have to pay for, etc. Can anyone recommend a place for about $2000, airfare included, and a mostly inclusive resort? Is there any place that’s really nice in the states with the kind of scene the Caribbean can offer?
I would be flying from Houston, Texas.
You can get a great cruise for that money and you do not have to pay for anything that you do not need to. You did not say where you were coming from.

If you really need a good place you can come to Barbados. It is a popular destination for honeymoons. There is a nice resort that is very intimate that you can stay at.

I will be marrying in June of 2010. I would like to honeymoon somewhere beachy, the caribbean for example. Does anyone have any suggestions for islands/resorts they’ve had a good experience at? I’d like to avoid anywhere excessively touristy (I don’t want to stay where the cruise ships dock). I’m a student, so it can’t be anywhere too expensive. Thanks for helping me narrow down my choices!
Try St Kitts or St Lucia. Both are beautiful islands very tropical and lush and not over run with tourists and people are friendly. St Kitts is very small but the neighboring island of Nevis is very easy to get to. St. Lucia is pretty big and does get cruise ships a few days a week but depending on where you are you may not even notice it. Its the type of island that if you want isolation you can find it.

what are some links or websites where i can book a cruise to the bahamas or bermuda or anywhere in the caribbean?
I want to put a generic answer but to be honest when you said "HONEYMOON" I stopped dead in my tracks. Because it is a honeymoon you should really talk to someone who can get you and tell you what will give you what you are looking for. Sure you can go independent and book a great trip but say you go on Travelocity and the picture looks fantastic however they don’t have that main thing you and your new wife want on vacation like a romantic atmosphere or privacy and your room is to tiny to get comfortable. It will totally ruin what you are trying to achieve on this honeymoon and since this is once in a life time event to this woman….make it special don’t wing it. I recommend talking to a Travel Agent anyone with experience. Often it doesn’t cost a thing for advice but in turn they will make the reservation for you and are paid through commission. If you find a lower price for their suggestion tell them because most travel agency have best rate guarantee. There is some tips below in the next paragraph and CONGRATULATIONS : )
Yes I recommend www.majestytraveler.com. We coordinate all trips from cruises and private vacations. FROM Luxury vacations TO independent backpack trips. Most of our clients are on payment arrangements. Only with last minute deals are they required to pay in full.
Good thing about Majesty traveler is the vacation planning starts with you. ASK YOUR SELF BEFORE YOU CALL ANY TRAVEL AGENCY: what you are looking for on this vacation? what experience you want to have on this vacation? what is your budget for this vacation or getaway? what type of property would you enjoy for your stay? what are the things you want to do? IF you know where you want to go. Tell the agent where you want to go and they should find the place that fulfills your desires and what you are looking to experience on this vacation. Having your agent understand these questions upfront ensures you will get the most for your money and that your agent will be on the hunt for achieving your vacation plans.
If a travel agent is not asking these questions from you before they get started then I would find another agent.
This is Majesty Traveler’s philosophy on our clients vacations plans, after all it is your money and you should get the most out of every penny.

A video of our honeymoon in Ambergris Caye, Belize. I don’t have words to express my love for this island and the people that live here. Just like the song says “it’s like some dream we lived down here”. We WILL step foot on this island again. That is a promise. This video is for Clinton and Wayo.
